Brass Sleeve
• Brass compression sleeves, also known as ferrules, rings or O-rings are used in combination with a compression nut and fitting to create a watertight connection on copper and brass pipe or tubing. Designated in OD sizes and correspond to pipe OD sizes.
• A compression fitting compresses a component of the fitting into another component, usually some type of tubing, to create a watertight seal between two different lines.
• HOW TO USE ….. Slide the compression fitting onto the tube until the tube bottoms out a drop of lubricating oil or thread sealant will ease not assembly thread the nut onto the fitting hand-tighten.
